In 1984, she graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy of the Silesian University of Technology, and in 2016, she completed post-graduate studies at the Collegium of Business Administration of the Warsaw School of Economics. She worked as a teacher at the Electronics and Computer Science Schools Complex in Sosnowiec (1984-2007) and in the Vocational Improvement Centre in Katowice (2007-2009). In 2009-2011, she was employed as the Director of the Housing Management Office at the Spółka Restrukturyzacji Kopalń S.A., a mine restructuring company, and in 2011-2019, as the Director of the Municipal Housing Stock Office. In the 10th term Senate, she served as the Deputy Chair of the Science, Education and Sport Committee. She is a member of the “Active Women” association and representative of the Women Congress.
