أحدثت في 2006 وتتبع وزارة النقل. مدرجة في قوائم العقوبات الأمريكية لدورها في تهريب النفط إلى سوريا. تشارك الغرفة في اللجان الضريبية في وزارة الماليــة، ولجان الإشراف والتنسيق على المنفذ الحدودي البحري لدى كل من الشركة العامة لمرفأ طرطوس والشركة العامة لمرفأ اللاذقية التابعتين لوزارة النقـل، واللجنة الدائمة لثانويات النقل البحري، واللجنة المشكلة بقرار من وزارة النقل والخاصة بتعديل التعليمات الناظمة لتعامل مكاتب النقل البحري والوكلاء البحريين بالقطع الأجنبي.

The Syrian Chamber of Maritime Navigation was established in 2006 and is affiliated with the Ministry of Transportation. The Chamber participates in tax committees in the Ministry of Finance, as well as the supervision and coordination committees at the maritime border port of the General Company for Tartous Port, the General Latakia Port Company of the Ministry of Transport, the Permanent Committee for Maritime Transport, and the committee formed by a decision of the Ministry of Transport regarding amending the instructions governing the dealings of transport offices Marine and marine agents in foreign exchange. The Syrian Chamber of Maritime Navigation is placed on US sanctions lists for its role in smuggling oil to Syria.
