The Latakia Port General Company is a public economic institution that has a degree of autonomy and is affiliated with the Ministry of Transport in the Syrian Arab Republic. The Latakia Port Company was established on 12 February 1950 (as a public-private partnership affiliated with the Ministry of Economy) via Decree No. 38. It was entrusted with the establishment and investment of the sea port in Latakia. The company became affiliated with the Ministry of Transport in the Syrian Arab Republic in 1974 and was transformed into a public sector company pursuant to Law No. 17 of 1982.
مؤسسة ذات طابع اقتصادي تمتلك قدراً جيداً من الاستقلالية وتتبع وزارة النقل في الجمهورية العربية السورية. تأسست شركة مرفأ اللاذقية بتاريخ 12 / 2 / 1950 (كقطاع مشترك يتبع وزارة الاقتصاد) بموجب المرسوم رقم / 38 / وأوكل إليها إنشاء واستثمار المرفأ البحري في اللاذقية . وأصبحت تتبع وزارة النقل في الجمهورية العربية السورية في العام 1974 وتحولت إلى شركة عامة( قطاع عام ) بموجب القانون 17 لعام 1982. مدرجة في قوائم العقوبات الأمريكية
