Descriptions

Mohsen Fathizadeh is the Head of the Protection and Intelligence Organization of the Law Enforcement Forces (LEF) in Iran. The mission of the Protection and Intelligence Organization is to provide intelligence support to the police command and thereby ensure internal security in Iran. Agents under Mohsen Fathizadeh’s command have arbitrarily arrested activists, violently suppressed peaceful protesters and enforced the strict hijab regulations. Furthermore, the LEF has on many occasions been deployed to violently supress peaceful protests, killing and injuring civilians. Mohsen Fathizadeh is therefore responsible for serious human rights violations in Iran.
