Graduada de Ingeniería Hidráulica en el Instituto Superior Politécnico “José Antonio Echeverría” (CUJAE) y máster en Ciencias. Desarrolló una trayectoria laboral ascendente en la Empresa de Hidroeconomía en Holguín, hasta ocupar la responsabilidad de Delegada Provincial del Instituto Nacional de Recursos Hidráulicos (INRH), y posteriormente ser Presidenta de dicho Instituto. En el 2018 fue elegida como Vicepresidenta del Consejo de Estado y un año más tarde fue promovida al cargo actual. Preside el Consejo Nacional de Normalización, Metrología, Calidad y Acreditación; el Grupo Gubernamental para atender el Programa Nacional para el Adelanto de las Mujeres; los Consejos interinstitucionales de los Macroprogramas Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación y el de Recursos Naturales y Medioambiente. Es Miembro del Comité Central del PCC y diputada desde la VII Legislatura. Propuesta precandidata a diputada por los plenos de las organizaciones de masas y estudiantiles.
