Conocedora del municipalismo, ya que ha sido alcaldesa de La Zubia en Granada (20.000 habitantes) y concejal en gobierno y en oposición en diferentes mandatos. Diputada provincial en la Excma. Diputación Provincial de Granada. Con competencias delegadas en Economía, Contratación, Fomento y Vivienda Portavoz del Grupo PP en la Diputación Provincial. Se incorporó al gobierno del Presidente de la Junta de Andalucía, donde desempeñó el cargo de Delegada Territorial de la Consejería de Justicia, Administración Local y Función Pública, de la Junta de Andalucía en Granada. Miembro número cuatro, de la candidatura al Congreso de los Diputados por Granada. En la actualidad senadora por designación del Parlamento Andaluz, en fecha 26 de julio de 2023.
