Senator of the 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th term Senate. Born on 19 December 1957 in Kętrzyn. He graduated from the Secondary Vocational School with extended curriculum in general construction. From 1976 to 1983, he worked as a technical and investment specialist in Ostrołęka enterprises. Sacked as a result of reprisals, in 1983 he set up a family business, operating until today, which offers construction services, among others. For his activity in the “Solidarity” Independent Self-Governing Trade Union, he was interned and then sentenced to two years in prison. In 1988, he was involved in establishing Solidarity structures. He was the Chair of the Civic Committee in Ostrołęka. In 1990, he co-organised the elections to the revived local self-government of Ostrołęka. In the 9th term Senate, he served as the Deputy Chair and then the Chair of the Human Rights, Rule of Law and Petitions Committee. He initiated the establishment of the Economic Forum in Ostrołęka, which brings together small and medium-sized enterprises, and was its Deputy President in 1999-2007. He is a member of the Aleksander “Adam” Bednarczyk Association of the History of Ostrołęka Land. He was decorated with the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, and the Cross of Freedom and Solidarity. He was one of the founders of the Centre Agreement political party in Ostrołęka. Member of the Law and Justice party and the leader of its local structures.
