He graduated from Joachim Lelewel XLI Upper Secondary School in Warsaw. In 1981, he completed studies at the 2 nd Faculty of Medicine of the Medical University of Warsaw. He received a second degree specialisation in general surgery in 1993. Since 1981, he worked in the regional hospital in Nowe Miasto nad Pilicą (Independent Public Healthcare Centre). He was subsequently an intern, a junior assistant, an assistant, the Head of the Emergency Ward, Hospital Director and Head of the Surgical Ward. In 1989, he was one of the founders of the Citizen’s Committee in Nowe Miasto nad Pilicą. For many years, he served as the head of the NSZZ ‘Solidarność’ Committee at the Healthcare Centre in that city. In the years 1998-2002, he was a Councillor of the Grójec Poviat Council. Between 2002 and 2005, he was a Councillor of the Sejmik of Mazowieckie Voivodeship. In the 6 th and 7 th term Senate, he was the Deputy Chairman of the Health Committee. In 2010, he became the leader of the Senate section of the Law and Justice Parliamentary Club. Member of the Law and Justice party. He sits on the Political Committee and the Ethics Committee. He was the Chief Campaign Manager of the Law and Justice in the successful 2015 parliamentary election.
