Listed by U.S. Government as doing business in Iran. (U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, List of Companies Doing Business With State Sponsors Of Terror, Removed from the internet in July of 2007)
According to its Annual Report filed with the SEC for fiscal year 2014: "We sell certain non-military use medical devices and equipment through independent distributors who resell such devices in Iran on a purchase-order basis. Our direct activities in Iran are limited to occasional visits to provide distributor training and to conduct customer surveys. In 2014, net revenues generated by distributors covering Iran amounted to $7.5 million, representing 0.56% of our total net revenues. We do not believe that our Iranian distributors fall within any of the proscribed categories set forth in Section 219 of the Iran Threat Reduction and Syria Human Rights Act of 2012. However, as we do not have direct knowledge of the identity of the distributors’ downstream customers, it is possible that these customers include entities, such as hospitals and pharmacies that are owned or controlled, directly or indirectly, by the Iranian government or by sanctioned persons or entities. Following a review of our business with Iran, we do not anticipate any change in our business operations in Iran in the near future."
