LegalEntity:notes | JSC Ulyanovsk Instrument Design Bureau (JSC UKBP) is a Russian leading developer and manufacturer of airborne electronic equipment for aircraft and helicopters, automatic control systems for hydropower, automotive components and medical equipment. The history of the enterprise dates back to 1 September 1941. JSC UKBP has created a unique navigation device called the “Doppler velocity component meter” or “DISS”, which is a complex aviation radio-technical device that informs the pilot in real time in any weather conditions about the components of velocity and vector of motion relative to the ground surface. In 2018, the DISS was tested on the MI-8 helicopter. Serial production of the device began in September 2020. JSC UKBP became the winner of the national award “Priority-2017” for the development of the BNFI-1 navigation information formation unit for Mi-8. BFNI-1 provides pilots with comprehensive information about the meteorological situation, terrain and the presence of artificial ground objects. In 2020, JSC UKBP was awarded a contract to supply a new data display system for the modernised Tu-160M strategic bomber. The Moth Mi-8 helicopter and Tu-160 strategic bomber have been used by the Russian army during its war of aggression against Ukraine. The equipment of JSC UKBP is installed on the aeroplanes and helicopters of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the Russian Government, as well as on airlines of the Russian Federation and foreign countries. Therefore, JSC UKBP is responsible for supporting materially actions which undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
