In 2022, Aleh Ramanau was elected as a chairman of pro-regime public association “Belaya Rus”, which he turned into the largest political party in Belarus, holding the majority of seats in the Parliament. In 2021, Aliaksandr Lukashenka appointed Aleh Ramanau to be Rector of the Polotsk State University, where he served until 2022. Aleh Ramanau was also a member of the Council of the Republic of Belarus of the 7th convocation from 6 December 2019 to 22 March 2024.
