Vessel:notesThe date of transfer from Chinese to North Korean ownership as well as the name change from "Shunchao 9" to "Chon Ha 2" is unclear due to contradictory data. The vessel is among those listed as acquired by the DPRK in 2022 (UN Panel of Experts September 2023 report, Table 2, p. 34; 196). The online database Equasis corroborates this and shows the change in name and ownership to have happened in May 2022. This fits with a cited statement in the report by Chinese authorities stating that the then-called "Shunchao 9" was de-registered in May 2022. On the other hand, the Panel includes this vessel in Annex 40 (p. 199) stating that the vessel was flagged under the DPRK in May 2023 as well as a reference to an August 2022 incident in which the vessel is still referred to as the "Shunchao 9" instead of "Chon Ha 2".kp_rusi_reportskprusi-59b083c722ee99316f9249fe32875f3cf5d1bfbf
