Gatluak Nyang Hoth était commissaire du comté de Mayiandit (État de l’Unité, Soudan du Sud) de février 2021 à juin 2024. Au cours de cette période, des troupes sous son commandement ont eu massivement et systématiquement recours aux violences sexuelles comme tactique de guerre et les ont instrumentalisées pour en faire une récompense et un droit pour les hommes participant au conflit. En sa qualité de commissaire de comté, Gatluak Nyang Hoth est dès lors responsable de graves violations des droits de l’homme au Soudan du Sud, y compris de violences sexuelles et sexistes systématiques et généralisées.
