As judge of the Kirovsky District Court of Saint Petersburg, Natalya Petrova sentenced Olga Smirnova, architect and political activist, to 6 years imprisonment on politically-motivated charges for spreading so-called “fake news” about the Russian army. Olga Smirnova was arrested for publishing anti-war information on social media in a VK-group. Therefore, Natalya Petrova is responsible for serious violations of human rights, for the repression of civil society and democratic opposition, and for activities seriously undermining the rule of law in Russia.
