Seraj Cyberspace Organization

Seraj Cyberspace Organization was established by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to support the IRGC’s apparatus by recruiting, training and mobilising pro-regime internet users. Seraj Cyberspace Organization’s operations include trolling campaigns on social media, spreading disinformation and misinformation online, trending pro-regime hashtags and engineering divisions among the Iranian opposition. Accounts related to Seraj Cyberspace Organization are also used to spread abusive content against the Islamic Republic’s opponents and to attack political opponents online. Seraj Cyberspace Organization is hence violating the rights to freedom of information and expression of the Iranian people. Seraj Cyberspace Organization is therefore responsible for serious human rights violations in Iran.

La Seraj Cyberspace Organization a été créée par le corps des gardiens de la révolution islamique (IRGC) pour soutenir l’appareil de l’IRGC en recrutant, formant et mobilisant des internautes favorables au régime. Les opérations menées par la Seraj Cyberspace Organization consistent notamment à organiser des campagnes de trolling sur les médias sociaux, à propager de la désinformation et de la mésinformation en ligne, à promouvoir des hashtags pro-régime et à orchestrer des divisions au sein de l’opposition iranienne. Des comptes liés à la Seraj Cyberspace Organization sont également utilisés pour diffuser des contenus abusifs contre les opposants à la République islamique et pour attaquer les opposants politiques en ligne. La Seraj Cyberspace Organization viole par conséquent les droits à la liberté d’information et à la liberté d’expression de la population iranienne. La Seraj Cyberspace Organization est donc responsable de graves violations des droits de l’homme en Iran.
