Valentin Ershov est vice-président du tribunal régional de Moscou. Par le passé, il a occupé le poste de juge auprès du tribunal du district de Presnensky de Moscou, pour ensuite occuper le poste de juge du tribunal régional de Moscou. À ce titre, dans le cadre d’une procédure motivée par des considérations politiques, il a refusé d’instruire l’action en justice intentée par Alexei Navalny et la Fondation anticorruption contre le procureur général Yuri Chaia et le comité de rédaction de la revue électronique “Ekho Moskvy”, pour la protection de l’honneur, de la dignité et de la réputation commerciale. Par conséquent, Valentin Ershov est responsable de graves violations des droits de l’homme en Russie, y compris la violation de la liberté d’opinion et d’expression, ainsi que d’activités portant gravement atteinte à l’état de droit en Russie.

Valentin Ershov is the Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Regional Court. In the past, he held the position of judge of the Presnensky District Court of Moscow, followed by the position of judge of the Moscow Regional Court. In his position, in a politically motivated proceeding, he refused to process a lawsuit filed by Alexei Navalny and the Anti-Corruption Foundation against Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika and the editorial board of the electronic periodical “Ekho Moskvy” for the protection of honor, dignity and business reputation.
