DescriptionThe vessel is involved in the supply of sanctioned goods to the russian federation. On 21 May 2023, it transited the Bosporus Strait and entered the Black Sea while carrying special-purpose and automotive equipment, including trucks, tankers, and cargo trailers. Between 21 and 23 May 2023, the vessel conducted a voyage from the Port of Haydarpaşa (Istanbul, Türkiye) to the Port of Novorossiysk (russia). During this voyage, the vessel disabled its Automatic Identification System (AIS) to conceal its activities. Over the past five years, the vessel has frequently changed its name and flag of registration to obscure its operations in the Black Sea and its port calls to closed ports in the territory temporarily occupied by russia (TOT of Crimea, Ukraine). The vessel has violated the so-called "Crimean sanctions" regime by repeatedly entering the ports of Sevastopol, Yevpatoria, and Feodosiya in breach of Ukraine’s state border and territorial integrity.[sources]
