Member of the Eleventh Term Senate. Born on 26 March 1967 in Środa Wielkopolska. He graduated from the E. Piasecki Academy of Physical Education in Poznań, completed Postgraduate Penitentiary Studies at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and graduated from the Officer School of the Penitentiary Service at the Central Training Centre of the Penitentiary Service in Kalisz. From 1993 to 2020 he worked as a Prison Service officer at the Remand Prison in Poznań. From 2000 to 2013, he held the position of director of the Remand Centre in Środa Wielkopolska. From 2013 to 2017, he was District Director of the Prison Service in Poznań and from 2017 to 2020, he served as Deputy Director General of the Prison Service in Warsaw. He has organised 2 charity single-handed cycling expeditions in support of sick and disabled children. One of them, from London to Września, he described in his book entitled “Tysiąc mil do Wrześni” (“A Thousand Miles to Września”). He is an honorary citizen of the city of Kalisz. Member of the Board of the Polish Penitentiary Society. He was awarded, among others: a gold badge “For merits in penitentiary work”, Medal of Merit for the Border Guard, Silver Medal of Merit for Services to the Police, a badge of honour “For merits for the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship”.
