Member of the Eleventh Term Senate. Member of the Second, Third and Sixth Term Sejm. Born on 6 May 1958 in Jelenia Góra. He graduated in history from the Catholic University of Lublin. He completed postgraduate studies in museology at the Faculty of Art History of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. From 1986 to 1990, he worked as a secondary school teacher. From 1990 to 1994 and from 2010 to 2018, he was the mayor of Jelenia Góra. He was a councillor of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Assembly (Sejmik) from 2003 to 2007 and 2018 to 2023. In the 1990s, he served as president of the Nysa Euroregion. He was awarded the Silver Cross of Merit and honoured with the title “Meritorious for the City of Jelenia Góra”. Member of the Civic Platform.
