Terms: 7th, 10th, 11th The Independent and Self-Governing Senate Group From: 13 November 2023 Senator of the 7th, 10th and 11th term Senate. Deputy to the 7th term Sejm. Born on 14 May 1971 in Zgierz. In 2001, he graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw. He completed post-graduate studies in control and audit and in management, as well as an auditor training. In 1997-2001, he served as a personal secretary of the President of the Council of Ministers Jerzy Buzek. From 2009 to 2011, he was the Minister for Justice, and from 2009 to 2010, the Public Prosecutor General. Between 2013 and 2019, he was the President of the Supreme Audit Office. From 1994 to 1998, he was a Councillor of the Zgierz City Council, and from 1998 to 2002, of the Zgierz County Council. Between 2002 and 2006, he served as the Deputy Mayor of Zgierz. In 2006-2007, he was a member of the Łódzkie Regional Assembly of which he was the Deputy Chair. In the 10th term Sejm, he served as the Chair of the Legislation Committee. He was also a representative of the Senate in the National Council of the Judiciary. He was active in the Independent Students’ Association where he was, among other functions, the Deputy Chair of the National Coordinating Commission. He was a member of the Polish Paralympic Committee and the Council for Public Benefit Activities. He has no political party affiliation.
