Jarosław Rusiecki

Senator of the 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th term Senate. Deputy to the 5th, 6th and 7th term Sejm. Born on 20 July 1961 in Nieskurzów Stary. In 1997, he graduated in sociology from the Social Sciences Faculty of the Catholic University of Lublin. In 1997-2001, he completed doctoral studies at that faculty. In 2021, he completed MBA studies at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Sciences of the John Paul II Catholic University in Lublin. In 2009, he completed a higher defence course at the Faculty of National Defence of the National Defence Academy in Warsaw. He worked as an assistant and spokesperson for the Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski Mayor (1990-1994) and a vocational adviser at the District Labour Office in that city (1994-1997). In 1997-2005, he delivered lectures and classes in sociology at the College of Business and Entrepreneurship in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. From 1999 to 2005, he served as the Deputy Director of the Municipal Public Library in that city. In 1998-2002, he was a Councillor of the Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski City Council and served as its Deputy Chair. From 2002 to 2005, he was a Councillor of the Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski County Council. In the 9th and 10th term Senate, he served as the Chair of the National Defence Committee. In 2006-2010, he sat on the TVP Programme Council, and since 2021, on the TVP3 Kielce Programme Council. He is a member of the Polish Tatra Mountains Society (Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski Chapter) and an extraordinary member of “Ponury-Nurt” Świętokrzyskie Guerilla Groups of the Home Army. He was decorated with the Bronze Cross of Merit, the “Meritorious Service to National Defence” Bronze Medal, the “Meritorious Service to Fire Protection” Bronze Badge, the Jan Kiliński „Meritorious Service to Polish Crafts” Platinum Medal, and a memorial badge of the Armed Forces Operational Command. Member of the Law and Justice party, sits on the Political Council and Świętokrzyskie Regional Board of that party.
