Cha Yong Beom is a Lieutenant General in the Korean People’s Army of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). He has been identified as one of the senior DPRK military commanders deployed to Russia alongside DPRK troops in support of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. Given Cha Yong Beom’s deployment to Russia and involvement in DPRK-Russia military cooperation, he has been supporting Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and thereby undermining and threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
