| Description | Green Pine Associated Corporation (“Green Pine”) has taken over many of the activities of the Korea Mining Development Trading Corporation (KOMID. KPe.001). KOMID was designated by the Committee in April 2009 and is the DPRK's primary arms dealer and main exporter of goods and equipment related to ballistic missiles and conventional weapons. Green Pine is also responsible for approximately half of the arms and related materiel exported by the DPRK. Green Pine has been identified for sanctions for exporting arms or related material from North Korea. Green Pine specializes in the production of maritime military craft and armaments, such as submarines, military boats and missile systems, and has exported torpedoes and technical assistance to Iranian defense-related firms. According to a UN Member State in 2019, Green Pine changed its name to Jihyang Associated Corporation (a.k.a. Jihyang Technology Trade Company) when conducting business overseas. | [sources] | |||

According to Paragraph 168 (p. 58) of the UN Panel of Experts February 2017 report, Green Pine has a branch office in Shenyang under its alias "Korea NDIC". UN Panel of Experts September 2022 and September 2023 reports (p. 70 and p. 53, respectively) state Jihyang Associated Corporation, Jihyang Technology Trade Company, and Jihyang Trading Corporation to be front companies, whose names are utilized by Green Pine.
