State Security Branch of Tartous (Branch 345)

The State Security branch of Tartous (Branch 345) is a branch of the General Intelligence Service. It has similar departments to those of the central branches in Damascus, and they have the same subject-matter jurisdiction and the same functions but within the governorate. Each branch has departments and detachments that operate across the governorate. Each town or village has a security officer in charge, responsible for the summonses by security branches and for making security reports. Brigadier General Qais Rajab has headed Branch 345 since May 2019 by decision of Russia.

أحد فروع جهاز المخابرات العامة. توجد فيه أقسام مشابهة للفروع المركزية بدمشق، وتتمتع بنفس اختصاصاتها ولها نفس عملها لكن في حدود المحافظة. ويتبع لكل فرع منها أقسام ومفارز تتوزع في مختلف أرجاء المحافظة، ولكل بلدة أو قرية عنصر أمني مسؤول عنها وعن إجراء الدراسات الأمنية فيها وعن عمليات الاستدعاء للفروع الأمنية. يرأسه العميد الركن قيس رجب، بقرار من روسيا منذ أيار 2019.
