The Syrian Ministry of Interior comprises several directorates: the General Intelligence Directorate, the Political Security Directorate, the Criminal Security Directorate, the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, and the Medical Services Directorate. The Ministry of Interior also has quick reaction forces, which are the Special Mission Forces and the Internal Security Forces. It is included in the EU sanctions list, and it was added to the UK sanctions list on 26 June 2012.
