Targets persons and entities of economic or strategic significance to Russia, current or former Russian government ministers and senior officials, and their immediate family members, in response to the Russian threat to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Designated persons and entities are subject to an asset freeze, and declared persons are barred from entering or transiting Australia. Country-wide measures prohibit supplying arms and related matériel to Russia, exporting aluminium ores, luxury goods, machinery and oil-exploration equipment, importing Russian-origin arms, oil, gas, coal and gold, financing or dealing in the financial instruments of specified Russian banks, military companies and oil companies, and providing related services, including drilling and well-testing services for certain Russian oil projects.
