During the period of the G7 and EU oil embargo and the price cap policy on russian oil and petroleum products, the tanker was involved in the export of russian oil and petroleum products from russian ports in the Black Sea. The vessel conducted operations at the Sheskharis oil terminal (Novorossiysk), in particular in August 2025. The Sheskharis terminal is a transshipment complex and the end point of the main pipelines operated by Chernomortransneft JSC (TIN 2315072242, under US sanctions), a subsidiary of the sanctioned PJSC Transneft (TIN 7706061801). In 2023, the vessel was engaged in the export of multiple consignments of russian petroleum products from the port of Tuapse to Turkey. The shippers of the liquid cargoes were the sanctioned PJSC NK Rosneft (ПАО "НК "Роснефть"") and Amur Trading FZCO (UAE), while the recipients included Tejarinaft FZCO, SPG Trading LLC, and Tüpras Türkiye Petrol Rafinerileri A.Ş. The Tuapse port hosts a production complex owned by the sanctioned PJSC NK Rosneft – the Tuapse Refinery with a marine terminal. On October 15, 2025, the United Kingdom imposed sanctions on the vessel.
