China Deputies of National People's Congress

Current deputies of the National People's Congress (NPC), the national legislature and highest organ of state power of the People's Republic of China. Its roughly 3,000 deputies are elected for five-year terms by the people's congresses of the provincial-level divisions and by the armed forces, with separate delegations for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, and hold the country's legislative power, including enacting laws and approving the budget.

This dataset records each sitting deputy with their name and delegation, plus gender and ethnicity for female and ethnic-minority deputies (the only ones the source annotates).
