Unicameral national legislature of fourteen senators from four states
Current members of the Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia, the country's unicameral national legislature. It has fourteen seats: four at-large senators, one for each of the states of Chuuk, Pohnpei, Yap and Kosrae, serving four-year terms, and ten senators elected from single-member districts for two-year terms. Together they hold the country's legislative power, including passing laws and approving the budget.
