Upper chamber seating four non-partisan senators from each of 38 provinces
Upper chamber seating four non-partisan senators from each of 38 provinces
Current and historical members of the Regional Representative Council (Dewan Perwakilan Daerah, DPD), the upper chamber of Indonesia's bicameral parliament. Four non-partisan senators are directly elected from each of the 38 provinces for a five-year term, giving the chamber 152 members, and share the country's legislative power with the People's Representative Council.
Coverage reaches back to the chamber's first term in 2004, with one occupancy per term a member served. The source states no date on which a member left, so a mandate that ended before its term expired is recorded without an end date.
