Swe Swe Aung

Swe Swe Aung is the Director-General of the Prosecution Department in the Ministry of Legal Affairs, appointed by the State Administrative Council (SAC) on 31 March 2022. The Prosecution Department, under Swe Swe Aung’s leadership, has been involved in several judicial cases against democratically elected leaders and opposition figures that were conducted in violation of rights of defense and right to a fair trial, including the proceedings leading to the execution of four pro-democracy figures. Therefore, in her capacity as Director-General of the Prosecution Department, Swe Swe Aung is engaged in activities that undermine democracy and the rule of law in Myanmar/Burma.

Additionally, Swe Swe Aung is associated with several State Administrative Council and military-appointed figures and leaders such as Commander-in-Chief Min Aung Hlaing and Attorney General Dr Thida Oo.

Swe Swe Aung est la directrice générale des services du ministère public au ministère des affaires juridiques, nommée par le Conseil d’administration de l’État (SAC) le 31 mars 2022. Les services du ministère public, placés sous la direction de Swe Swe Aung, ont été impliqués dans plusieurs dossiers judiciaires ouverts contre des dirigeants démocratiquement élus et des personnalités de l’opposition et traités en violation des droits de la défense et du droit à accéder à un tribunal impartial, y compris les procédures ayant abouti à l’exécution de quatre personnalités pro-démocratie. Par conséquent, en sa qualité de directrice générale des services du ministère public, Swe Swe Aung prend part à des activités qui portent atteinte à la démocratie et à l’état de droit au Myanmar/en Birmanie. En outre, Swe Swe Aung est associée à plusieurs personnalités et dirigeants nommés par le Conseil d’administration de l’État et l’armée, tels que le commandant en chef Min Aung Hlaing et le procureur général Dr. Thida Oo.
