Therefore, DIS provides support to SAF actions and policies that threaten the peace, stability and security of Sudan. In addition, DIS is associated with SMT which also provides support to the SAF’s actions and policies that threaten the peace, stability and security of Sudan.

DIS controls together with SMT Engineering (SMT), through a network of direct and indirect shareholdings, numerous companies of the SAF-controlled GIAD conglomerate, which is also involved in the production of weapons and vehicles for the armed forces, as well as in the provision of services to the SAF, in particular through a partnership between GIAD for Automotive Services and the Corps of Engineers.

Defense Industries System (DIS), précédemment connu sous le nom de Military Industrial Corporation (MIC), est un grand conglomérat qui est détenu par les forces armées soudanaises (FAS) et qui gère un réseau d'entreprises contrôlées par l'armée. DIS génère des recettes annuelles substantielles estimées à 2 milliards de dollars en 2020. DIS fabrique une gamme d'équipements militaires et les fournit aux FAS, notamment des armes, des munitions, des aéronefs et des véhicules militaires, qui sont utilisés par les forces armées dans le conflit au Soudan. Avec SMT Engineering (SMT) et par l'intermédiaire d'un réseau de participations directes et indirectes, DIS contrôle de nombreuses entreprises du conglomérat GIAD, qui est lui-même contrôlé par les FAS et qui participe également à la production d'armes et de véhicules pour les forces armées, ainsi qu'à la fourniture de services aux FAS, notamment dans le cadre d'un partenariat entre la GIAD pour l’industrie automobile et le Corps of Engineers (Corps des ingénieurs).
