The 924th Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Center (Military Unit 20924) is part of the Russian Ministry of Defence. Servicemen are being trained at the Center to complete the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) companies being formed in the Western and Central Military Districts. At the same time, the Center is engaged in the completion of military tests of complexes with UAVs (Zastava, Navodchik-2, Forpost and Orlan-10), which, upon completion of the tests, are transferred to UAV companies. The 924th Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Center of the Russian Ministry of Defence trains UAV operators for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Military unit 20924 is used to train Shahed drone operators. The test site is located approximately 8 km southeast of the State Center for Unmanned Aviation of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the city of Kolomna, Moscow region. The distance from the landfill to Moscow is about 100 km. The border of Ukraine is about 600 km. Russia sent its UAV operators for training to Iran under the guise of participating in competitions: it is about 4 Russian military personnel who in August 2023 took part in the competition of UAV operators "Falcon hunting" in Iran. The International Army Games "Falcon Hunting" in 2019 and 2021 were held at the training ground of the Center in Kolomna. Immediately after that, attacks by Iranian kamikaze drones on Ukrainian cities began. All established servicemen serve in the 924th State Center of Unmanned Aviation of Russia. This center is the only one in the structure of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation that trains drone operators, and is based in the city of Kolomna (military unit 20924 on Artillery Street). However, flights are carried out elsewhere. Thus, the company commits actions that create real and/or potential threats to national interests, national security, territorial integrity, sovereignty of Ukraine, contribute to terrorist activities and/or violate the rights and freedoms of a person and citizen, the interests of society and the state, lead to the occupation of the territory, expropriation or restriction of property rights, property losses, creation of obstacles to sustainable economic development, full exercise of rights and freedoms by citizens of Ukraine.

Росія відправляла своїх операторів БПЛА на навчання до Ірану під виглядом участі у змаганнях: йдеться про 4-х російських військових, які у серпні 2023 брали участь у змаганнях операторів БПЛА "Соколине полювання" в Ірані. Міжнародні армійські ігри "Соколине полювання" у 2019 та 2021 роках проходили на полігоні Центру у Коломні. Одразу після цього розпочалися атаки іранських дронів-камікадзе на українські міста. Усі встановлені особи військовослужбовців проходять службу у 924-му Державному центрі безпілотної авіації Росії. Цей центр є єдиним у структурі Міноборони РФ, який готує операторів дронів, і базується в місті Коломна (військова частина 20924 на Артилерійській вулиці). Однак польоти здійснюють в іншому місці.
