In his position as judge at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus, Ihar Liubavitski is responsible for politically motivated rulings against opposition leaders, activists and journalists, in particular the sentencing of opposition presidential candidate Viktar Babarika, who is considered a political prisoner by human rights organisations. He is therefore responsible for serious human rights violations and for seriously undermining the rule of law, as well as for the repression of civil society and democratic opposition.
En sa qualité de juge à la Cour suprême de la République de Biélorussie, Ihar Liubavitski est responsable de plusieurs décisions à motivation politique prononcées contre des responsables de l’opposition, des militants et des journalistes, notamment de la condamnation de Viktar Babarika, candidat de l’opposition à l’élection présidentielle, qui est considéré comme un prisonnier politique par les organisations de défense des droits de l’homme.Il est donc responsable de graves violations des droits de l’homme et de graves atteintes à l’état de droit, ainsi que de la répression de la société civile et de l’opposition démocratique.
