Editor-in-Chief of «Belorusskaia Dumka» monthly journal of the President's Administration. He is one of the most vocal and influential members of the state propaganda machine in the printed press. He has supported and justified the repression of the democratic opposition and of civil society, which are systematically highlighted in a negative and derogatory way using falsified information, in particular after the Presidential elections in 2010.

Vadzim Gigin is one of the most vocal and influential members of the Belarusian state propaganda system. He systematically supports the Lukashenka regime and often presents his views on the state TV channels ONT and Belarus 1. Vadzim Gigin has supported and justified the repression of democratic opposition and civil society and of independent media, in particular after the presidential elections in Aug 2020. Vadzim Gigin spreads his propaganda narratives on a “nazi regime in Ukraine”, discrediting the West and justification of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. Until Jun 2023, Vadzim Gigin was the head of the Belarusian society “Knowledge”, which is known as a state-sponsored non-governmental organisation promoting Lukashenka and his regime. Gigin’s contribution to the regime has been acknowledged by Lukashenka in Sep 2021 when Gigin received the medal “For Labor Merits”. Furthermore, he was appointed in Feb 2023 as member of the Commission to consider appeals of Belarusian citizens abroad concerning offences committed by them, headed by Prosecutor General of Belarus Andrei Shved. Therefore, Vadzim Gigin is benefiting from and supporting the Lukashenka regime.

Vadzim Gigin est l’un des membres les plus virulents et les plus influents du système de propagande d’État biélorusse. Il soutient systématiquement le régime de Loukachenka et présente souvent son point de vue sur les chaînes de télévision d’État ONT et Belarus 1. Vadzim Gigin a soutenu et justifié la répression de l’opposition démocratique ainsi que de la société civile et des médias indépendants, en particulier après l’élection présidentielle d’août 2020. Vadzim Gigin diffuse ses discours de propagande sur un soi-disant “régime nazi en Ukraine”, le discrédit de l’Occident et la justification de la guerre d’agression menée par la Russie contre l’Ukraine. Jusqu’à juin 2023, Vadzim Gigin dirigeait la société biélorusse “Knowledge”, connue comme étant une organisation non gouvernementale parrainée par l’État faisant la promotion de Loukachenka et de son régime. La contribution de Gigin au régime a été reconnue par Loukachenka en septembre 2021, lorsque Gigin a reçu la médaille du “Travail”. En outre, il a été nommé, en février 2023, membre de la commission chargée d’examiner les recours formés par des citoyens biélorusses à l’étranger concernant des infractions commises par eux, laquelle commission est présidée par le procureur général de Biélorussie, Andrei Shved. Vadzim Gigin tire donc profit du régime de Loukachenka et le soutient.

Obywatel Białorusi Vadzim Hihin jest sędzią historykiem i publicystą politycznym, aktywnie wspierającym reżim A. Łukaszenki. Z informacji posiadanych przez Agencję Bezpieczeństwa Wewnętrznego wynika, że wjazd i pobyt obywatela Białorusi stanowią zagrożenie dla bezpieczeństwa państwa. Dotychczasowa aktywność wymienionej osoby sytuuje ją jako zwolennika reżimu Aleksandra Łukaszenki. Taka postawa w obliczu rosyjskich działań wojennych na Ukrainie, wsparcia logistycznego i politycznego udzielonego Moskwie przez władze białoruskie, a także toczonej wobec Rzeczypospolitej wojny hybrydowej stwarza poważne ryzyko prowokacji lub wywołania incydentów skutkujących uszczerbkiem dla pozycji międzynarodowej RP.
