Senator of the 10th and 11th term Senate. Deputy to the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th term Sejm. Born on 25 March 1956 in Czempiń. He graduated from the Faculty of Physical Education of the Gorzów Branch of the Poznań University of Physical Education. In 1981, he started working as a PE teacher in the primary school in Racot. From 1992 to 2001, he was a headmaster of that school, and from 2001 to 2005, a headmaster of the Polish Olympians Junior Secondary School in Racot. From 1991 until 1999, he managed the Sport and Recreation Centre in Kościan. In 1990-1994, he was a Councillor of the Kościan Town Council, and from 1998 to 2005, a member of the Wielkopolskie Regional Assembly. He was a member of the Polish Olympic Committee Executive Board (2009-2013 and 2016-2017). He is a member of the Council of the Olympic Education Centre Foundation and of the Main Board of the School Sports Union. In the 10th term Senate, he served as the Deputy Chair of the Migration and Liaison with Poles Abroad Committee. Member of the Civic Platform party.
