Member of the Eleventh Term Senate. Member of the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth and Ninth Term Sejm. Born on 23 July 1959 in Wschowa. In 1983 he graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry and Organic Technology of the Poznan University of Technology. From 1984 to 1990, he was head of the chemical laboratory at the Metal Forming Institute in Poznań. He sat in the Sejm for 6 terms (2001–2023). In the Fourth Term, he was Vice-Chairman and subsequently Chairman of the Local Self-Government and Regional Policy Committee. He continued as Vice-Chairman of this Committee in the Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Terms. In the Eighth and Ninth Term Sejm, he chaired the standing subcommittee on local government finance. From 1990 to 2001, he was Head of the Tarnowo Podgórne municipality. From 1998 to 2000, he was a councillor of the Assembly (Sejmik) of the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship. He was a winner of the “Wielkopolska Village Mayor of the Year 1997” competition. In 2000, he was awarded the Rev. Piotr Wawrzyniak Award and in 2005 he was awarded the Grzegorz Palka Award for outstanding contributions to local government. He was awarded the Badge of Honour for Services to the Local Government. Member of the Civic Platform.
