The tanker belongs to the fleet of the russian company Gazpromneft Marine Bunker LLC (TIN 7838392447, subject to USA and Ukrainian sanctions) — a subsidiary of the sanctioned Gazprom Neft PJSC. Gazpromneft Marine Bunker LLC is the operator of the bunker business of Gazprom Neft PJSC, providing year-round supplies of marine fuels and lubricants for sea and river transport in the largest ports of the North-West, Black Sea, and Far East regions, as well as in the Arctic and on inland waterways. During the G7 and EU oil embargo and price cap policy on russian oil / petroleum products, the tanker is involved in the export of russian oil / petroleum products. The vessel engages in deceptive, high-risk practices (AIS shutdown), particularly in the Gulf of Finland. Since October 24, 2025, the EU imposed sanctions on the vessel.
Transport crude oil or petroleum products or mineral products that originate in Russia or are exported from Russia and practice irregular and high-risk shipping practices as set out in the International Maritime Organisation General Assembly resolution A.1192(33).
