Colombian PEP Declarations

The Application for Public Integrity of the Administrative Department of Public Service is a tool that allows citizens to consult the declarations of assets, income and conflicts of interest of public servants and politicians in Colombia.

The Colombian Decree 830 of 2021 aims to support the implementation of article 52 of the United Nations Convention against Corruption as well as guidance by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and Latin American Financial Action Task Force (GAFILAT). It therefore defines a relatively broad definition of PEPs and requires the publication of declarations about persons holding these positions which have the opportunity to influence public transactions for their benefit.

This dataset publishes the names, national ID numbers, and positions of public office held by public servants in Colombia. We link to their Curriculim Vitae and asset declarations when available. It currently excludes the contractor information available at the same website.

We periodically supplement the data from the online search tool with their Excel download which contains a little more information for a selection of people, although the criteria for selection is unclear. While their Excel file data dictionary states that currently-held positions will have a blank end date, that is not currently the case so we include the stated end date but indicate occupancy status as unknown.
