In 2024, a tanker under the command of captains Delara Nel (Maltese nationality) and Nikitopoulos Nikolaos (Greek nationality) transported russian petroleum products from the port of Tuapse to Turkey. In September 2025, the tanker transported nearly 35,000 tons of russian-origin petroleum products from the Sheskharis terminal in the port of Novorossiysk to Turkey.[sources]
