Sergey Evgenyevich LAGODIUK

Sergey Lagodiuk is Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and Head of the Main Operational Directorate. The Main Operational Directorate participates in military policy of the Republic of Belarus and acts as the leading structural unit of the General Staff in the system of strategic planning and management. In his position, Sergey Lagodiuk oversees the actions of the Main Operational Directorate. In addition, Sergey Lagodiuk is a member of the Joint Board of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation and therefore participates in the bilateral Russian-Belarusian cooperation in the military sphere. The Republic of Belarus is used as a military hub of the Russian military and that strategically puts pressure on Ukraine to keep troops near the border, thus weakening defensive capabilities of Ukraine. Therefore, Sergey Lagodiuk, as a member of the Joint Board of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, is supporting materially the Government of the Russian Federation, which is responsible for the annexation of Crimea and the destabilisation of Ukraine.

Sergey Lagodiuk est chef d’état-major adjoint des forces armées de la République de Biélorussie et chef de la direction opérationnelle centrale. La direction opérationnelle centrale participe à la politique militaire de la République de Biélorussie et agit en tant qu’unité structurelle de premier plan au sein de l’état- major général dans le cadre du système de planification et de gestion stratégiques. En sa qualité, Sergey Lagodiuk supervise les actions de la direction opérationnelle centrale. En outre, Sergey Lagodiuk est membre du conseil conjoint du ministère de la défense de la République de Biélorussie et de la Fédération de Russie et participe donc à la coopération bilatérale entre la Russie et la Biélorussie dans le domaine militaire. La République de Biélorussie est utilisée comme “plaque tournante” militaire de l’armée russe et exerce une pression stratégique sur l’Ukraine pour qu’elle maintienne ses troupes près de la frontière, affaiblissant ainsi les capacités défensives de l’Ukraine. Par conséquent, Sergey Lagodiuk, en tant que membre du conseil conjoint du ministère de la défense de la République de Biélorussie et de la Russie, apporte un soutien matériel au gouvernement de la Fédération de Russie, qui est responsable de l’annexion de la Crimée et de ladéstabilisation de l’Ukraine.
