Head of the Directorate for Interregional Relations and Cultural Contacts with Foreign Countries of the Russian Presidential Executive Office

Igor Maslov is a long-term Russian Presidential Administration official with a Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) background, responsible for Kremlin subversive policy and activities towards the so-called ‘Russia’s near abroad’ (former Soviet Union territories). He is known to advise President Vladimir Putin on Ukraine, Moldova and South Ossetia and is named amongst a group of people advising President Putin in relation to Ukraine. As the Head of the Russian Presidential Administration’s Directorate of Interregional and Cultural Ties with Foreign Countries, Maslov has congratulated people from the Special Operations Forces (SPO) of the Ministry of Defence who played a key role in the the illegal annexation of the Crimean Peninsula. He is therefore responsible for actively supporting or implementing actions or policies which undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine

Igor Maslov est un fonctionnaire de longue date de l’administration présidentielle russe, issu des services russes de renseignement extérieur (SVR), responsable de la politique subversive et des activités subversives du Kremlin à l’égard du prétendu "proche-étranger de la Russie" (territoires de l’ex-Union soviétique). Il est connu pour conseiller le président Vladimir Poutine sur l’Ukraine, la Moldavie et l’Ossétie du Sud et est cité parmi un groupe de personnes conseillant Poutine pour ce qui concerne l’Ukraine. En tant que chef de la direction des relations interrégionales et culturelles de l’administration présidentielle russe avec les pays étrangers, Maslov a félicité les membres des forces d’opérations spéciales (SPO) du ministère de la défense, qui ont joué un rôle clé dans l’annexion illégale de la péninsule de Crimée. Il est donc responsable du soutien actif apporté aux actions ou politiques qui compromettent ou menacent l’intégrité territoriale, la souveraineté et l’indépendance de l’Ukraine ou d’une participation active à leur mise en œuvre.
