Judge of Mazyr District Court

In her position as judge of Mazyr district court, Halina Knizhonak is responsible for numerous politically-motivated rulings against peaceful protesters, in particular the sentencing of Hleb Koipish, Uladzislau Hancharou, Aliaksandr Tsimashenka and Daniil Skipalski. She has sentenced people to terms of imprisonment for taking part in peaceful protests against the Lukashenka regime. She is therefore responsible for serious human rights violations and for seriously undermining the rule of law, as well as for the repression of civil society and democratic opposition in Belarus.

En sa qualité de juge au tribunal de district de Mazyr, Halina Knizhonak est responsable de nombreuses décisions à motivation politique prononcées contre des manifestants pacifiques, en particulier la condamnation de Hleb Koipish, Uladzislau Hancharou, Aliaksandr Tsimashenka et Daniil Skipalski. Elle a condamné des personnes à des peines d’emprisonnement pour avoir participé à des manifestations pacifiques contre le régime de Loukachenka. Elle est donc responsable de graves violations des droits de l’homme et de graves atteintes à l’état de droit, ainsi que de la répression de la société civile et de l’opposition démocratique en Biélorussie.
