| Description | Since December 2022, the vessel has been affiliated with the Turkish company Alemax Denizcilik ve Gemi Isletmeciligi Ticaret Limited Sirketi, established in 2022 by russian national Alexander Alekseev (Александр Алексеев). · The vessel has been implicated in schemes involving the theft of Ukrainian grain from the temporarily occupied territory (TOT) of Crimea (Ukraine). Specifically, it conducted ship-to-ship (STS) loading operations in the Kerch Strait from the russian-flagged vessels IMO 8721272 and IMO 8959219, both of which were arrested in absentia by a Ukrainian court for participating in the transportation of Ukrainian grain stolen by russia from TOT Ukraine. · Throughout 2024, the vessel has continued to regularly engage in dark activity in the Kerch Strait transshipment area – a location that, since 2023, has been actively used by russia for STS transfers with other vessels, particularly to "egalise" stolen Ukrainian grain and re-export it to third countries under the guise of grain of russian origin. | [sources] | |||
