Imad Khoury is one of the most prominent Syrian businessmen who supported the al-Assad regime. In a context where the al-Assad regime used barrel bombs and chemical weapons against the civilian population of Syria, Imad Khoury represented the regime’s business and financial interests. Amongst other things, he founded a company that was part of a money laundering scheme supporting the al-Assad regime. In this way, together with his brother Mudalal Khoury, he helped finance the severe crimes against humanity committed under the al-Assad regime. Therefore, Imad Khoury has provided financial, technical and material support for serious human rights violations or abuses, in particular crimes against humanity.

Dans un contexte où le régime d’al-Assad utilisait des bombes-barils et des armes chimiques contre la population civile syrienne, Imad Khoury représentait les intérêts commerciaux et financiers du régime. Il a notamment fondé une société qui faisait partie d’un système de blanchiment de capitaux soutenant le régime d’al-Assad. De cette manière, il a contribué, aux côtés de son frère Mudalal Khoury, à financer les graves crimes contre l’humanité commis sous le régime d’al-Assad. Par conséquent, Imad Khoury a apporté un soutien financier, technique et matériel à de graves violations des droits de l’homme ou atteintes à ces droits, en particulier à des crimes contre l’humanité.
