Russian Foundation founded in April 2023 to aid Russian veterans of the war of aggression in Ukraine

The Foundation “Defenders of the Fatherland” was founded by a decree of the President of the Russian Federation in April 2023 to aid Russian veterans of the war of aggression in Ukraine. The Foundation is funded by the Russian Government and the key staff are appointed directly by either the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin or the Russian Government and is composed of prominent persons with close connections to President Vladimir Putin or the Kremlin. The Foundation plays an important role in the war of aggression against Ukraine as it supports the veterans who have taken part in the military actions in Ukraine. The Foundation also operates in the illegally occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts and Crimea. The Foundation has concluded agreements with multiple other organisations and local governments for the purposes of supporting the veterans of the war of aggression. The Foundation supports veterans, including fighters from Donetsk and Luhansk. The Foundation is also involved in the rehabilitation of veterans for their return into active service for the war of aggression against Ukraine. Therefore, the Foundation “Defenders of the Fatherland” is supporting materially and financially actions which undermine and threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. Furthermore, it is supporting materially and benefitting from the Government of the Russian Federation, which is responsible for the annexation of Crimea and the destabilisation of Ukraine.

La fondation “Défenseurs de la Patrie” a été créée par un décret du président de la Fédération de Russie en avril 2023 afin d’aider les vétérans russes de la guerre d’agression en Ukraine. La fondation est financée par le gouvernement russe et le personnel clé est nommé directement soit par le président de la Fédération de Russie, Vladimir Poutine, soit par le gouvernement russe et est composé de personnalités de premier plan ayant des liens étroits avec le président Vladimir Poutine ou le Kremlin. La fondation joue un rôle important dans la guerre d’agression contre l’Ukraine, car elle soutient les vétérans qui ont participé aux actions militaires en Ukraine. La fondation est également active dans les territoires illégalement occupés des oblasts de Donetsk et de Louhansk et en Crimée. La fondation a conclu des accords avec de nombreuses autres organisations et de nombreux gouvernements locaux afin de soutenir les vétérans de la guerre d’agression. La fondation soutient des vétérans, y compris des combattants de Donetsk et de Louhansk. Par ailleurs, la fondation “Défenseurs de la Patrie” apporte un soutien matériel au gouvernement de la Fédération de Russie, qui est responsable de l’annexion de la Crimée et de la déstabilisation de l’Ukraine, et tire avantage de ce gouvernement.
