In his former leadership position as Chairman of the State Security Committee (KGB), he was responsible for the participation of the KGB in the repression and intimidation campaign in the wake of the 2020 presidential election, in particular arbitrary arrests and ill-treatment, including torture, of peaceful demonstrators and opposition members. He remains active in the Lukashenka regime as Aide to the President of Belarus – Inspector for the Brest Region/Oblast.
Dans le cadre de ses anciennes fonctions dirigeantes de président du comité pour la sûreté de l'État (KGB), il a été responsable de la participation du KGB à la campagne de répression et d'intimidation menée à la suite de l'élection présidentielle de 2020, en particulier d'arrestations arbitraires et de mauvais traitements, y compris la torture, de manifestants pacifiques et de membres de l'opposition. Il continue de jouer un rôle actif dans le régime de Loukachenka en tant que chef de l'appareil du conseil des ministres. Il soutient donc le régime de Loukachenka et est responsable de graves violations des droits de l'homme et de la répression de la société civile et de l'opposition démocratique en Biélorussie.
