Le général de division Sayyed Abdolrahim Mousavi est le commandant en chef de l’armée iranienne. En cette qualité, il porte la responsabilité de l’implication de l’armée iranienne dans la réaction violente du régime aux manifestations de 2022. À plusieurs reprises, Mousavi a décrit les manifestations en Iran comme des émeutes organisées et planifiées par les ennemis de l’Iran, présentant ainsi les manifestations comme une menace pour la sécurité nationale.
