Targets persons responsible for or involved in serious human rights violations in Iran, or in hostile activity by the Iranian government or armed groups it backs, including the supply of UAVs and missiles. Designated persons are subject to an asset freeze, a travel ban and director disqualification, and ships they own or control can be refused port access and UK ship registration. The regime also restricts exports to Iran of goods and technology usable for internal repression or telecommunications interception and monitoring, and of items of strategic concern to Iran's UAV and missile industry.
