DescriptionThe pipe-laying vessel belongs to the fleet of the russian company OTEKO-Terminal LLC (ИНН 2352039660). OTEKO-Terminal LLC specializes in organizing and providing services for mooring and cargo-handling operations, ensuring safe berthing and towing, as well as performing marine construction works. The company is the largest shipowner on the Black Sea coast, based in the port of Taman. The beneficiary of OTEKO-Terminal LLC through a number of entities is the sanctioned Michel Litvak – a russian-Belgian businessman and film producer, founder of the OTEKO holding. In 2024, Litvak ranked 102nd on Forbes’ list of the richest russian businessmen. OTEKO Holding is a private russian company investing in port infrastructure in southern russia. It operates two marine terminals – a bulk cargo terminal and an oil terminal – in the port of Taman and along the Black Sea coast of Krasnodar Krai. The Taman Bulk Cargo Terminal is the first and largest specialized terminal on the Azov–Black Sea coast of russia for transshipment of bulk materials (sulfur, coal, ore, and mineral fertilizers) onto vessels of up to 220,000 DWT. The Taman Transshipment Complex for oil, petroleum products, and liquefied hydrocarbon gases is one of the largest in the Azov–Black Sea basin, located near Cape Zhelezny Rog, Krasnodar Krai, in a deep-water area that allows year-round navigation. The complex has a total capacity of 19.9 million tons per year and serves tankers of up to 160,000 DWT. The vessel makes port calls at the ports of the temporarily occupied territory (TOT) of Ukraine.[sources]
